Ilyis

Bazaar Ties: Ilyis was born and raised in the bazaar, but got out as soon as she saw a chance to Impress. Her family is one of the poorer variety within the bazaar, and though they still live there, she keeps her distance. She is not open about her background to anyone who knew her pre-Impression, but it would be hard to deny anyone she grew up with within the bazaar itself.

Green Karasvath: They have been officially bonded for nine turns now, and have likely had a number of flights. Feel free to have a connection due to being a suitor!

Rough Around the Edges: Ilyis looks more polished than she actually is, with a bit of a rough around the edges quality to her. She can often be found engaged in card games, bets, and drunken festivites with her wingmates.

Ilyis was raised in the bazaar outside of Igen Weyr’s walls, by parents who were too young and immature to truly be parents, and to this end she largely became a bazaarbrat, running underfoot during the day and finding respite in any welcoming tent at night. Her future prospects in life were much the same as her ill-fated parents, though she managed to stay out of trouble well into her teenage turns. Then, she saw the opportunity, at seventeen, to turn her life around by accepting Search; at least riders had a consistent place in life, more so than the traders who came and went from the bazaar.

It was a risk that, to this day she is thankful she took, because on the day of the hatching her green Karasvath found her there. She had a hard adjustment fitting into the lifestyle within the Weyr walls, but time and a determination to make something out of herself saw her goals come to fruition. And if anyone asks, she will tell them she is from Igen, not the bazaar.

Now that the Pass is upon them, and Thread falls from the sky, those goals of her seem less pressing in light of the desire to protect Igen and its peoples.

Thick black-brown hair tumbles around her shoulders, stopping just there and framing an oval face. Her skin is naturally tanned, thought the sun is liable to turn it many shades darker, and clear. She has large brown eyes, fringed by long eyelashes, and a full mouth under a straight nose. Her body is toned from physical training and exercise, much due to her dragonriding, but there are still curves to her frame.
